High-ION Photorelays in the 2.54SOP6 Package: TLP310x Series
Offers an improved trade-off between on-state current and off-state voltage due to the use of the U-MOS IV process technology.

While photorelays are smaller, faster and more reliable than mechanical relays, photorelays are often only available with limited off-state voltage (VOFF) and on-state current (ION) ranges. The MOSFETs that comprise a photorelay involve a VOFF/ION trade-off; i.e., the greater the VOFF, the less the ION. Because of this, although photorelays have been in widespread use for various applications, mechanical relays are still required for high-current applications.
To broaden the application range of photorelays, Toshiba has developed the TLP3102, TLP3103 and TLP3105 using the U-MOS IV process, which are rated at 40 V/2.5 A, 60 V/2.3 A and 100 V/1.4 A, respectively. Housed in the 2.54SOP6 package, these photorelays allow B and C connections, making it possible to control dc currents of 5.0 A, 4.6 A and 2.8 A respectively.
Additionally, the on-state current of the TLP310x is specified at an ambient temperature of 50℃ instead of 25℃ to facilitate their use for a wide range of applications, including factory automation, power supply and security applications.
Uses
Factory equipment, security systems, amusement equipment, mechanical relay replacements, etc.
