Photocopuler in a New SDIP Package: TLP700

The TLP700 is housed in a new 6-pin SDIP package that is designed to comply with reinforced-insulation-class international safety standards. Traditionally, photocouplers have been offered in an 8-pin DIP; the new SDIP package occupies about half the space of the 8-pin DIP devices.

The TLP700 can directly drive medium-power IGBTs and MOSFETs. The totem-pole output stage of the TLP700 can both sink and source current. Additionally, the TLP700 features the industry's lowest power consumption. The maximum supply current of just 2 mA keeps heat generation to a minimum; thus the TLP700 delivers guaranteed performance at temperatures up to 100°C.
