What settings are specifically required for using the compiler in the Integrated Development Environment?

Microcomputer Development System Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) NO.EX9900701

Answer

It is necessary to install an optional language tool (C-Compiler) into the host PC which uses the Integrated Development Environment. Make sure that the language tool has been installed. In using the compiler, register the compiler installed directory information with the Integrated Development Environment. Specifically, start TIDE after installing Integrated Development Environment (TIDE). Then, select [Tool] - [Option] - [Build] in the main menu and open the [Build Option] dialog. With the [Directory] tab, set the compiler-installed directory. In addition, set a compile option or link option as required. The setting methods are described in TIDE's Help.
