Media Processor for Mobile Device TC35295<T5G>

T5G supports terrestrial digital broadcasting (one-segment) and in addition to the video replay system by H.246, a high performance is achieved with a feature supporting VGA size image video recording and replay. Video codec, 3D graphic accelerator, three hardware accelerators of JPEG codec and architecture by CPU (ARM926EJ-S), executes a high-speed processing in video/still image capture features in mobile device, 3D games and others. Total of 6 MeP is used: 4 in the video contents, 1 in the 3D graphic accelerator, 1 in the I/O processor.

High-performance image processing LSI for intelligent vehicles, Visconti™

Visconti™ is a MeP SoC that processes images for front obstacle detection and rear/side observation for vehicles. It was developed in a short period of time by reusing the IP of the MeP SoC "VisionChip" (code name), a test model created by using the prototype version of the MePcore. Visconti™ introduces a parallel architecture suitable for image recognition and three VLIW coprocessor-extended MeP modules.

Single-chip LSI for DVD players, TC90600FG

TC90600FG is a MeP SoC for DVD players. A front-end processor, a back-end processor, and a control processor are integrated into one chip. As the back-end processor, two MeP modules are used for video and audio processings respectively. The front-end processor is DSP, and TX19 is adopted as the control processor.

MPEG-4 Decoder

MPEG-4 decoder is chosen as HW engine for MeP. MPEG-4's advanced-simple-profile is supported. Output format is YcbCr 4:2:0(8bit) and NTSC 720×420, 30fps or PAL720×576, 25fps monitor size. On the MePcore side, the required specification is only 60MCPS*. For an example, if running under 200MHz, 140MCPS is free for other functions.
