OFDM Demodulation and Error Correction IC for Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Diversity Reception
The TC90504 complies with ISDB-T standards for digital terrestrial TV systems. This single-chip IC performs OFDM demodulation and error correction for diversity reception, which makes it especially suitable for use in mobile reception. Containing four AD converters and FFT demodulators, the TC90504 provides up to four-branch maximum ratio combining diversity. It further provides an MPEG-2 transport stream (TS) output that is demodulated and error-corrected using diversity combining schemes. The TC90504 also supports all the transmission modes and parameters of digital terrestrial TV broadcasting.
Features
The TC90504 achieves diversity reception by implementing maximum ratio combining after FFT demodulation, thereby provides symbol-level combining for each OFDM carrier signal. The TC90504 allows for sequential FFT window position control and will overcomes long-delay multipath in SFNs.
