TC90522/TC90532:Demodulation and Error Correction ICs for ISDB-S and ISDB-T

The TC90522 and TC90532 perform demodulation and error correction that conform to the digital satellite (ISDB-S) and terrestrial (ISDB-T) broadcasting standards.

The TC90522 has two demodulation/error-correction channels for OFDM and 8PSK each, which together provide up to four transport streams (TS) simultaneously.
The TC90532 has one demodulation/error-correction channel for OFDM and 8PSK each, which together provide up to two transport streams (TS) simultaneously.
The TS outputs can be individually programmed for OFDM or 8PSK according to the numbers of ISDB-S and ISDB-T receivers required. Unused channels can be put in Sleep mode to reduce power consumption.

  • Supports a wide range of tuner applications, with ISDB-S demodulation for baseband I/Q signals and ISDB-T demodulation corresponds to baseband I/Q signals, Low-IF or Direct-IF signals.
  • Provides a variety of automatic adaptive control according to input signal conditions, yielding good S/N versus BER characteristics.
  • Provides excellent reception characteristics for a long-delay multipath in SFN.
