On-Chip Memory

eDRAMs
Embedded DRAMs (eDRAMs), which combine high data rates with low power consumption, are widely used in image processing applications such as graphics and display controllers; storage applications such as HDD controllers; and digital communications applications such as communications and networking equipment.
SRAMs & ROMs
Toshiba offers two types of static RAMs (SRAMs): low-power SRAMs with relatively slow access time and high-speed SRAMs with fast access time. Low-power SRAMs are primarily used for battery-powered devices such as cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs), whereas high-speed SRAMs are used as cache memory for PCs and networking equipment.Additionally, Toshiba has developed high-density, high-speed SRAMs for communications applications that are required to transfer a large amount of data at high speed. Toshiba offers various SRAM and ROM IP cores for a wide range of applications that can be embedded in logic chips.
EFUSE
Toshiba’s EFUSE is a nonvolatile one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP fabricated using electrically programmable fuse elements. Since EFUSE can be implemented in a standard CMOS process, it enhances the reliability of OTP memory without incurring extra manufacturing cost. Fuse elements are programmable through control registers; thus unlike the conventional laser blown fuses, EFUSE can be programmed not only before wafer sort but also at any test stages.
