What is light transmission?
Electrical video, audio and control signals are generally transmitted through an electric wire made of copper. A method to transmit them converted into light signals and convert them back into the electrical signals on the reception side is usually called "light transmission" or "light communication." The light signals are transmitted through optical fiber.
Conversion from electricity into light is called "E/O conversion" and that from light back into electricity "O/E conversion," respectively.
